We started as a buying club over 30 years ago, and look at us now…we’ve come a long way! From Astragalus to Zucchini, People's Food Co-op carries a wide variety of fresh produce, bulk and grocery items, household supplies, fairly traded coffee and delicious prepared foods.

What We Carry

Produce – We support local growers by carrying locally and regionally grown fruits and vegetables, along with popular favorites and seasonal specialties. Over 75% of our produce is organically grown.

Bulk – PFC carries a large selection of foods and household products in bulk, which often saves money and always improves environmental impact through reduced packaging. We have a large bulk herb, spice and tea section. We exclusively offer Fair Trade certified bulk coffee beans. Bring in your own containers and make a positive impact on your wallet and the planet!

Grocery – Our grocery department has everything from raw ingredients to prepared meals, including pastas, condiments, frozen foods, canned goods, and baking supplies. We offer plenty of alternatives for special dietary needs and healthy eating: vegetarian, vegan, wheat-free, dairyless, low sodium, reduced fat, and fruit -juice sweetened items. We even have a snack selection that includes healthier chips, cookies and candy.

Health & Beauty Care – We offer a wide range of supplements including vitamins, homeopathic remedies, flower essences, herbal capsules and tinctures. We carry environmentally friendly household and body care products including shampoos, conditioners, lotions, tissue, paper towels, bleach-free cleaners and soaps. You can also find special items like natural fiber scrub brushes and beeswax candles.

Co-op Advantage Program Specials – Select items on sale each month for all shoppers. Check the in-store CAP flyers and signs to find the sales.

Senior Discount – 10% off for all seniors shopping on Wednesdays. Good for anyone 60 years of age and older, member and non-member alike.

Special Orders – Ordering program for members and non-members. If it’s not on the shelf, we still may be able to get it for you! If one of our suppliers carries your item, you may order it with minimal paperwork. Order in case quantity and receive a discount.

Healthy Advantage Member Specials – Select items on sale each month for co-op members. Sale items for members rotate each month. Our suppliers give us a break on various items, and we pass the savings on to members. Check in the store for the Healthy Advantage flyers and sale signs.

Student Member Discount – 7% off for student members shopping on Sundays.

Volunteer Rewards – Co-op members don’t have to volunteer, but there are plenty of fun opportunities to help and earn gift certificates, beverages, and more. Click here to learn more about our Volunteer Program.

Healthy Savings – Discount ordering program for members. Co-op members can order any non-perishable items in case or bulk quantities from our suppliers and receive approximately 15-50% off the shelf price! Members must attend a Healthy Savings Orientation to learn how to use catalogs and order form.
